Mr. Trung drank pesticide, forced his wife into the bedroom, pulled the cabinet to block the door, and let the police try to persuade him for 3 hours.

On the afternoon of June 24, Cam Xuyen District Police (Ha Tinh) received a report that Le Van Trung (39 years old, resident of Cam Quang Commune) committed suicide by drinking pesticide and restraining his wife in the bedroom, not allowing anyone to approach.

Assessing that Mr. Trung showed signs of panic, because 3 days ago he kicked his wife out of the house and prevented his 5-month-old child from breastfeeding, the police did not use strong measures, tried to persuade him for 3 hours but had no results.

A task force was ordered to use professional measures, breaking the door and roof tiles into the room to rescue the victim. Everything was done successfully. The police determined that Trung's pesticide ingestion had not seriously affected his health.

Working with the police, Mr. Trung confessed that he was upset due to his debt and caused the above incident.

Cam Xuyen District Deputy Police Chief Le Viet Duong said that Trung was handed over to the local authorities for management. Authorities did not prosecute him for his actions. His wife asked for forgiveness for her husband./.
