(Baonghean.vn) - While on duty at the epidemic prevention checkpoint at the gateway to Vinh city, the police force discovered a father carrying his daughter with a broken arm and immediately used a car to help the father and daughter get to the hospital.

On the afternoon of September 4, Mr. Le Viet Kien - resident of Thanh My commune, Thanh Chuong district, said that he and his daughter had just been supported by police officers to take his daughter, Phuong Thao, to the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital for treatment.

That same morning, his 5-year-old daughter fell and broke her arm. Mr. Kien called a taxi to take her to the hospital, but no driver accepted because of the implementation of Directive 16. To quickly take her to the hospital, Mr. Kien took a quick Covid-19 test, asked for a travel permit, and drove her to Vinh by motorbike. Because her arm was broken and she could not hold her father, Mr. Kien had to tie his daughter to his back with a shirt and slowly ride his motorbike to the hospital.

When the father and son arrived at Cho Gia checkpoint on the border between Vinh city and Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Captain Pham Quoc Hoi - Officer of the Traffic Police Team of Vinh city police, along with officers and soldiers on duty here, quickly helped the father and son to go to the hospital.

Captain Hoi drove the car carrying Phuong Thao, another police officer drove Kien's motorbike to the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital. There, the two police officers assisted Kien with the admission procedures and then returned to their duty at the checkpoint.

"My father and I are very grateful to the police officers and officers on duty at the checkpoint. It was about to rain, and my daughter collapsed from the pain, leaning on her father's back. If it weren't for them, it would have taken us an hour to get to the hospital. I don't know what would have happened," Kien confided.
