Mr. Pham Trong Binh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Luc Da commune, Con Cuong district excitedly said: Currently, the locality is planting 10 hectares of arrowroot, which is growing well, aiming at the goal of supplying raw materials for Thanh Chuong cassava starch processing factory in the near future.
At the end of 2015, Luc Da commune authorities cooperated with Thanh Chuong cassava starch processing factory to develop arrowroot plants as raw materials for the factory. With the support of the factory's leaders, in early 2016, Luc Da commune built a project to develop arrowroot plants, aiming for the whole commune to have 400 hectares of arrowroot plants in 2017.

In the immediate future, Thanh Chuong Cassava Starch Factory will support Luc Da people to plant 10 hectares of cassava seeds and fertilizers to expand the raw material area next year. Currently, the entire cassava plant area in Luc Da is growing well on hillside land and home gardens. At the end of this year, the local government will guide people to harvest cassava, mainly for seeds, to be widely propagated, to serve as raw materials for Thanh Chuong Cassava Starch Processing Factory in the coming years.
