Nghia Dan District People's Court has just held a public mobile trial to try the case of Dang Hong Son (born in 1996), residing in block 250, Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town, for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics".

According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Nghia Dan district: At about 9:00 a.m. on April 5, 2018, Dang Hong Son went to the intersection of National Highway 48 in Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town to meet and buy from a young man (name unknown) 2 packages of synthetic drugs (methamphetamine) for use.
At around 10:00 a.m. on April 26, 2018, Son went to Nghia Minh commune, Nghia Dan district to visit a friend. When he left, Son held 2 packages of synthetic drugs (methamphetamine) in the palm of his right hand.
At 10:40 a.m., when Son went to National Highway 15A in Hamlet 3, Nghia Minh Commune, Nghia Dan District, he was checked by Nghia Dan District police and caught red-handed, confiscated in Son's right palm 2 packages of synthetic drugs (methamphetamine) with a total weight of 5.84 grams.
At the trial, the defendant Dang Hong Son honestly bowed his head and admitted his guilt. Applying Clause 2, Article 249 of the Penal Code, the Trial Panel decided to sentence Dang Hong Son to 48 months in prison for illegal possession of narcotics.
