Fire of 0.5 hectares of pine forest in Dien Chau
(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:30 p.m. on December 11, 2019, Command Center 114 received a report of a pine forest fire in Dien An commune, Dien Chau district (near Cuong Temple area).

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH), Nghe An Provincial Police directed CC&CNCH Team No. 2 and CC&CNCH Team No. 4 to dispatch 2 fire trucks and 20 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinate with Dien Chau District Police and related units to promptly extinguish the fire, preventing the fire from spreading to residential areas.
Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of the Department of Agriculture of Dien Chau district said: The initial cause of the fire was suspected to be due to burning garbage on the other side of the railway and only the ground cover was burned and after 30 minutes the fire was extinguished. The area of the pine forest burned was 0.5 ha.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by authorities.
