Outstanding loans for poor households reach nearly 2,000 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghe An branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies said that since the beginning of the year, outstanding loans have reached VND1,378 billion with 47,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries receiving loans for production and business investment, of which loans to poor households have outstanding loans of nearly VND2,000 billion.

Specifically: Lending to poor households according to Decree 78/2002/ND-CP has so far reached an outstanding debt of 1,861 billion VND; lending to near-poor households according to Decision 15/2013/QD-TTg is 1,483 billion VND; lending to students in difficult circumstances according to Decision 157/2007/QD-TTg is 1,359 billion VND; lending to clean water and rural environmental sanitation according to Decision 62/2004/QD-TTg is 594 billion VND.

The VBSP also lends VND476 billion to households doing business in difficult areas under Decision 31/2007/QD-TTg; VND335 billion to households that have just escaped poverty under Decision 28/2015/QD-TTg; VND199 billion to poor households for housing under Decision 167/2008/QD-TTg; VND134 billion to loans for job creation under Decree 61/2005/ND-CP.

In addition, outstanding loans to support housing under Resolution 02/NQ-CP dated January 7, 2013 of the Government reached 451 billion VND, an increase of 111% compared to the beginning of the year.
