At the conference, comrade Truong Thi Mai presented the Politburo's decision on comrade Le Duc Tho - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) to resign from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietinBank to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, transferred and assigned to hold the position of Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
Comrade Le Duc Tho assumed the position of Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, replacing Comrade Phan Van Mai, who was assigned and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Comrade Le Duc Tho, born on July 25, 1970; hometown: Au Co ward, Phu Tho town, Phu Tho province; is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc; Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank). Political theory level: Senior. Professional level: Doctor of Economic Management, Master of Economic Management, Bachelor of National Economic Planning.
Comrade Le Duc Tho has held the following positions: Deputy General Director of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade; Chief of Office of the State Bank of Vietnam; member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade.
