Up to this point, Nam Dan district has recorded 4 cases of Covid-19 infection. The district has investigated, traced, and quarantined 161 F1 cases and more than 1,500 cases have been monitored for health and quarantined at home. The district has also coordinated with the health sector to collect 10,000 test samples and the first negative result.

To control and contain the Covid-19 epidemic, the district has quarantined part of Phuong Kieu hamlet and part of Duong Pho hamlet (Trung Phuc Cuong commune) with 182 households and 643 people. Social isolation areas have been established according to Directive 16 for the hamlets: Duy Tan, Dong Tho, Tho Toan, Phu Xuan and the remaining parts of Phuong Kieu hamlet and Duong Pho hamlet, Trung Phuc Cuong commune. Social distancing has been implemented according to Directive 15 for the remaining hamlets of Trung Phuc Cuong commune.

After listening to the report of the leaders of Nam Dan District People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the proactiveness and timely, drastic and synchronous implementation of measures of Nam Dan District in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic. The district mobilized the entire political system, the Secretary of the District Party Committee took part in leading, directly directing, assigning specific and clear tasks to each comrade in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee.

When F0 cases appeared in the area, the district urgently traced F1 and F2 cases; promptly isolated and quarantined them. At the same time, it reviewed and promptly quarantined cases related to the Vinh wholesale market outbreak. It organized the construction of a centralized quarantine area, determined a suitable blockade and social distancing plan in accordance with the directive of wide isolation but narrow blockade, ensuring effective epidemic prevention.

In addition, the district has also organized forces to support blockaded areas and organized testing for high-risk areas. It has paid attention to and taken care of epidemic prevention and control forces, and mobilized social resources for this work.

However, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also requested Nam Dan district not to be subjective because the Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated and unpredictable. In the coming time, the district needs to continue to thoroughly trace F1 and F2 cases, conduct quarantine and take samples for testing in a timely manner. In quarantine areas, strict control outside but also close monitoring inside must be organized to avoid cross-infection.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Nam Dan district to pay attention to the working conditions of the epidemic prevention forces and the living conditions of the people, especially in the locked-down and isolated areas, so that people can rest assured to properly implement the regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Regarding vaccines, based on the central government's allocation, the province will allocate them reasonably, giving priority to frontline forces and areas at high risk of the epidemic.
