Beauty salon owner in trouble because debtor delays payment

On November 7, Nam Tu Liem District Police, Hanoi prosecuted defendant Nguyen Duc Anh (26 years old, Ninh Binh) to investigate the act of illegal detention.

Duc Anh got into trouble with the law because of a fickle debtor.

Duc Anh, the beauty salon owner, met Nguyen Khac Hai through his wife. During their time together, when they went out to eat, Hai often paid the bill, so Duc Anh trusted him.

In early October, Hai proposed to borrow 39 million VND to give to his brother-in-law to expand his business and was accepted. Hai promised to pay his friend back a week later and the two sides wrote a loan-debt note.

When the time came, Duc Anh asked Hai but he did not pay, blocked his phone number, and also texted him threatening to pay 50 million VND to "take the life" of the creditor. Angry, Duc Anh and his wife and two friends went to find Hai to demand the money.

Late on the evening of October 24, knowing that Hai was sitting with his girlfriend, Duc Anh and his friend came to find him and slapped the debtor as a warning. After that, Duc Anh asked Hai to come back to the shop to talk.

On the way, Duc Anh asked Hai to call his family and write a debt receipt. That night, Hai stayed at Duc Anh's store and called his father for help. His father reported to the police and Duc Anh was arrested.

Duc Anh stated that on the day of the incident, Hai said it was dark so he asked to sleep at the store.
