Speaking at the conference, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hau A Lenh emphasized: "The purpose of the inspection and supervision work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is to grasp the situation and results of the organization and implementation of the election work in localities in order to detect difficulties, problems, and violations of the law (if any), to guide or propose to competent agencies, organizations, and individuals to take timely remedial measures, contributing to ensuring that the election is truly democratic, lawful, safe, economical, and a festival for all people."

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has identified the contents that need to be focused on inspection and supervision and plans to organize inspection and supervision teams with specific time frames: phase 1 from February 20 to April 13, 2021; phase 2 from April 13 to May 22, 2021 and phase 3 on election day, May 23, 2021.

To effectively carry out the work of election inspection and supervision, the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front require the Standing Committees of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and relevant individuals to focus their time on performing specific tasks, ensuring proper implementation of Party regulations and State laws on elections and supervision.

Besides, it is necessary to closely follow the guidance documents of the National Election Council, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and relevant agencies and organizations to seriously organize implementation.

Supervision must be closely coordinated with election committees at all levels and relevant agencies and organizations, promoting forms of supervision according to the provisions of law, strengthening supervision by people, representatives of organizations, the press, etc.

The organization of inspection and supervision teams must avoid overlapping in time and location with the inspection and supervision teams of the National Election Council and competent authorities, causing difficulties for localities and units being inspected and supervised...

The conference focused on introducing the topic: "The work of inspecting and supervising the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels", and at the same time spent time discussing and removing common difficulties and obstacles in local election work.

Contents of inspection and supervision of the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2021-2026 term:

1. Supervise the establishment and operation of the National Election Council and local election organizations:From the establishment to the end of the mission of the National Election Council and local election organizations.

2. Check and supervise the introduction of candidates for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies and the submission of candidacy dossiers of candidates and nominated candidates:From February 22 to 5:00 p.m. March 14, 2021.

3. Check and supervise the organization of collecting opinions from voters at the place of residence of candidates:From March 20 to April 13, 2021.

4. Supervise the preparation and posting of voter lists:From April 13 to May 23, 2021.

5. Supervise the preparation and posting of the list of candidates:From April 23 to May 13, 2021.

6. Check and supervise election propaganda and campaigning:From the implementation, organization of the election to the end of the election.

7. Supervision of voting procedures and vote counting:From 5:00 to 21:00 on May 23, 2021.
