No need to take samples for testing of 11 Nghe An passengers on the same flight as the Covid-19 infected person
(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, the residences and places these passengers visited in Nghe An have been sprayed with chemicals, disinfected, and sterilized by rapid response teams.
On the morning of March 15, authorities were still taking medical statements from 11 Nghe An passengers who were on the same flight as "patient 51". All passengers are being quarantined at medical facilities for health monitoring and surveillance for 14 days as prescribed.
Currently, the residences and places these passengers visited in Nghe An have been sprayed with chemicals, disinfected, and sterilized by rapid response teams.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of Nghe An Center for Disease Control said that 11 people in Nghe An were sitting in the economy class, not in the same class as the patient. "Currently, their health is normal. In the future, if these people show signs of cough or fever, they will have to take samples to test for nCoV," Mr. Dinh said.
For those who have been in contact with these quarantined cases, health authorities have also instructed them to self-monitor their health at home.
Of these 11 people, Nam Dan district has 3 people, Yen Thanh district has 3 people, Vinh city has 2 people, Nghi Loc district has 1 person, Hung Nguyen district has 1 person and Quynh Luu district has 1 person.
They were on the same flight as a student studying in Europe residing in Hanoi. Since March 11, this patient had a fever and a dry cough. On the morning of March 13, the patient flew back to Noi Bai on flight QR968 and was taken straight to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh, tested and diagnosed positive for SARS-CoV-2. On the evening of March 13, the patient's sample was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
