'We will return when the epidemic is over in Da Nang'
(Baonghean.vn) - That is the sentiment of the medical team from Nghe An before leaving to support Da Nang city in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.
Doctor CK 2 Trinh Xuan Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of Department of Internal Medicine A - Geriatrics, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital
I think when an epidemic occurs, the whole population must participate in fighting the epidemic. Everyone must promote the spirit of mutual love and support. Especially doctors and nurses must have the responsibility to share these difficulties.

Therefore, as soon as the Nghe An Department of Health issued an official dispatch requesting a delegation of officials to reinforce Da Nang city, I myself realized that my expertise was suitable for the requirements, so I voluntarily proposed to the leaders to go on this occasion. Besides, as a leader, I also need to set an example of volunteer activities, the spirit of saying what I do, for the patients... so that young doctors and nurses at the hospital can learn and be more enthusiastic in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
Hopefully, coming to Da Nang city on this occasion, with my professional qualifications and many years of working experience, I will be able to support treatment units, provide patient care services; participate in screening activities at medical units performing the task of monitoring and isolating patients in the F1 and F2 categories.
Master, Doctor Pham Huu Tuan - Department of General Infection, Center for Tropical Diseases, Provincial General Hospital
Since the beginning of the year, I have participated in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic right at the quarantine area, the Tropical Disease Center - the front line of the province's epidemic prevention. When the epidemic broke out in Da Nang city, Vietnam entered phase 3 of the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, I saw my teachers and brothers rushing to the epicenter to support and strengthen Da Nang city. I admire and wish to contribute some of their efforts like them.

Currently, Da Nang city is the epicenter of the country, and it needs the contribution of everyone and medical staff. In addition, Da Nang city is also a big school. I want to go to the epicenter to learn more about actual treatment activities so that when I return, I can contribute more to the epidemic prevention and control work of my home province.
When I was selected to support Da Nang city, my family was very supportive. I was not worried because I understood Covid-19 and the infection mechanism. When I go to Da Nang, I will definitely comply with the measures, proactively prevent infection and be determined to carry out the task well.
Bachelor of Laboratory Testing Hoang Thi Ly - Department of Biochemistry, Provincial General Friendship Hospital
Actually, not just now, but since the beginning of the epidemic, doctors and medical staff in the hospital have volunteered to participate in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, going anywhere and working at any time when assigned by the unit and the health sector. We think very simply: We are still young and healthy, so we need to be conscious of contributing, supporting Da Nang City, and participating in the fight against the epidemic.

When I come to Da Nang, I hope to be able to participate in supporting the collection of samples and performing testing. Before Covid-19, I was not afraid because I believed in my expertise and that I would be fully equipped with protective gear. I am sure that I will try my best to do my job well.
After receiving the notice from the hospital to go to Da Nang to fight the epidemic, I did not call home to tell my parents. But before that, I had mentioned my plan and my parents fully supported it. My parents also told me, "If you go, try to complete your mission well. Go enthusiastically, work safely, and come back victorious. When you come back, find a lover." I will come back after this epidemic is over when I go to support!
Technician Nguyen Van Khanh - Laboratory Department, Nghe An Oncology Hospital
When I learned that the Department of Health had sent an official dispatch to Nghe An Oncology Hospital to send doctors and technicians to support the fight against Covid-19 in Da Nang city, as a party member and young medical staff, I contacted the Head of the Testing Department to volunteer to participate.

I feel honored to support Da Nang City this time, and even happier to have the support of my wife and family. My wife is also a medical officer working at Nghe An Lung Hospital. My father is a party member and a veteran. Therefore, when I heard the announcement to go to Da Nang, everyone was very supportive and encouraged me to go "fight the enemy".
I believe that the Covid-19 epidemic situation in Da Nang is still very complicated, with many severe cases and new cases increasing. I think that when entering the epidemic area, I will be able to promote my expertise, which is to perform biochemical tests, functional indicators of body parts such as liver, kidney... to support treatment. I will try my best and show my determination to complete all assigned tasks well. In this fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, doctors and medical staff are the "shield" that protects and brings peace to the people.
Doctor Le Quang Duc - Laboratory Department, Nghe An Oncology Hospital
Participating in supporting Da Nang city in the fight against Covid-19, for me, this is the responsibility and duty of every doctor. On the front line against the epidemic, each person has a separate mission, but for the team of doctors, it is always to be at the forefront, rushing into the battle.

We went to support Da Nang City this time with the mindset of defeating the pandemic, determined to complete this sacred mission before returning. Hopefully, after us, there will be other medical staff ready to continue to fight on the front lines against the epidemic, serving and treating Covid-19 at field hospitals in Da Nang in particular as well as preventing and fighting the epidemic across the country in general.
On August 14, the Da Nang Department of Health sent a dispatch requesting the Nghe An Department of Health to support sending 16 medical staff (6 doctors and 10 technicians) to Da Nang to support the local field hospitals. On the night of August 14, the Nghe An Department of Health sent an urgent dispatch to the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee asking for direction.
