(Baonghean.vn) - After hard working hours during the day, more than 90 women in the border commune of Tam Hop, Tuong Duong district, still have to take advantage of the night to go to class to learn to read and write.
Tam Hop, a border commune with many difficulties in Tuong Duong district, is nearly 30 km from the center of Hoa Binh town, and is mainly inhabited by ethnic minorities such as Tay Poong, Thai and Mong. This is one of the communes with the lowest educational level in the district, and the illiteracy rate is still quite high.
In order to eliminate illiteracy among the people in the commune, the People's Committee of Tam Hop commune and the Women's Union of the commune coordinated with Tam Hop Primary School, Tam Hop commune to organize 5 literacy classes for women in 5 villages in the commune.
