Drug addict stabs police lieutenant with syringe

According to investigation documents, at around 00:00 on August 2, 2019, the working group of Ky Son District Police in coordination with the Huu Kiem Commune Police Department was patrolling and controlling in the Ba village area, Huu Kiem Commune when they discovered a man sitting on the roadside with many suspicious signs related to drugs, so they proceeded to arrest him.

During the arrest, the subject used a syringe (just injected with drugs) to fight back fiercely in order to escape. Due to the darkness and heavy rain, limited visibility, during the struggle, Lieutenant Kha La Nghiep - Ky Son District Police was stabbed in the left leg by the subject's syringe.

Despite the pain, Lieutenant Kha La Nghiep remained calm and, together with other members, successfully restrained, knocked down, and arrested the subject. Immediately afterwards, Lieutenant Kha La Nghiep was assisted by the Ky Son District Police to go to the provincial HIV Prevention Center for emergency treatment against HIV exposure.

At the police station, the suspect confessed that he was Kha Van Tien (born in 1998), residing in Keo Luc 3 village, Pha Danh commune, Ky Son district. After Tien bought drugs from a man (unknown, unknown background, specific address), on his way home, in Ba village area, Huu Kiem commune, his drug addiction arose so he stopped to inject, satisfying his addiction.

Just after finishing, Tien was discovered and arrested by the authorities.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police is completing the file to handle Kha Van Tien according to the provisions of law.
