Nghe An police train drug prevention for some provinces of Laos

This is one of the specific activities to implement the memorandum of understanding at the 17th Conference on drug prevention and control cooperation of 8 border provinces of Vietnam - Laos, held in Phong Sa Ly, Lao PDR and based on practical requirements of work between Nghe An province and 3 provinces of Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, and Hua Phan.

The training will take place over 2 days with contents on solutions to combat and prevent crime and drug abuse and recommendations and proposals to enhance the cooperative relationship between Nghe An province and neighboring Lao provinces in the fight against crime and drug abuse; the situation, solutions and recommendations and proposals to enhance the cooperative relationship between Nghe An province and neighboring Lao provinces in the fight against drug abuse in border areas; drug addiction treatment solutions and field trips to localities...

The training course not only imparts basic professional knowledge and experience in drug prevention and control, especially investigation and handling of drug crimes and social evils; and drug addiction treatment for specialized officers in drug prevention and control in neighboring provinces.

Through this activity, it aims to contribute to strengthening solidarity, understanding and improving the effectiveness of cooperation in crime prevention and control, ensuring security and order in general; and drug prevention and control in particular between the functional forces of Nghe An province and the functional forces of Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, and Huaphan provinces of Lao PDR.
