Nghe An police seized nearly 105kg of various drugs in 1 month
(Baonghean.vn) - Compared to the same period in 2018, there were 21 more cases, 32 more subjects, and the amount of drugs seized increased by 9.4 kg.
During the month of action against drugs (June 2019), Nghe An Provincial Police detected 165 cases, arrested 213 drug criminals, exceeding the target set by 154% during the peak period, seizing 75.5 kg of crystal meth; 8.4 kg of heroin; 20.6 kg and 5,000 synthetic drug pills.

Of which, 7 major cases were successfully discovered, 2 complex locations were eliminated, 6 large-scale drug crime rings were eliminated. Compared to the same period in 2018, there were 21 more cases, 32 more subjects, and the amount of drugs seized increased by 9.4 kg of various drugs.
Typically, Vinh City Police coordinated with units of Nghe An Province Police to break up two major drug cases, arresting seven subjects, seizing 20 heroin cakes, 35kg of ketamine, and 20kg of crystal meth.

The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department coordinated with Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station to break up a case, eradicated a drug trafficking ring from Laos to Nghe An, arrested 1 subject, and seized 15kg of crystal meth.

During the month of action against drugs, police units and localities coordinated to create 79 compulsory drug rehabilitation records and organized to send 52 drug addicts to rehabilitation at 8 centers in the province.
Drug crimes have never been as "hot" as they are now. In the past, the number of cases in which district police seized heroin cakes was very small, but in recent years many units have seized dozens of heroin cakes. On the other hand, the subjects participating in major drug cases, in addition to Vietnamese people, also include foreigners.
