Recently, in Vinh City, there have been many cases of reckless and daring robberies. The victims are mainly women walking on the street wearing gold necklaces.
Faced with the above situation, Vinh City Police established Project 167C and assigned the Criminal Police Team to fight and destroy it.
To deploy the project, detectives and investigators of the anti-robbery team (Vinh City Police) are regularly present on the roads, ambushing, monitoring, and gathering at dusk.

Subjects responsible for 13 robberies |
On the night of November 11, 2017, when two teams of criminal investigators were present at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street and Nguyen Van Cu Street (Vinh City), they received information that two young men were riding a black motorbike, wearing masks, and had just snatched the gold necklace of Ms. Cao Thi Nhung (born in 1984, residing in Nghi Thuy Ward, Cua Lo Town) who was riding a motorbike on An Duong Vuong Street (Vinh City).
Realizing that the suspects would continue to commit crimes, immediately afterwards, criminal investigators (Vinh City Police) divided into two groups to hotly pursue and arrest the suspects.
When the detectives arrived at Le Ninh Street, Vinh City, they discovered two young men riding a black motorbike with the characteristics described by the victim, circling the road. Determining that they would commit another crime, the detectives immediately followed them.

As expected, at around 8:15 p.m. the same day, when they discovered Ms. Tran Thi Giang riding a motorbike on the road wearing a gold necklace, they immediately drove the motorbike closer and the person sitting behind snatched it..
After committing the crime, they sped away. Because there were many people and vehicles participating in the traffic, the two reconnaissance teams quickly split into two groups.
The first group blocked the entrance to Tran Hung Dao Street, the other group followed behind. When they discovered that the two subjects who had just committed the robbery were stopping their motorbikes in front of a gold shop on Tran Hung Dao Street to sell gold, the detectives immediately rushed in to make an emergency arrest, confiscating 3 gold necklaces from the subject sitting behind the motorbike.
At the investigation agency, the subjects declared their names as Ha Huy Tung, born in 1988, residing in Hung Nguyen town, Hung Nguyen district (Tung had 3 previous convictions for theft and gambling, released from prison in 2015) and Pham Van Tuan, born in 1985, residing in Dong Van commune, Tan Ky district (subject had 2 previous convictions for theft and robbery, released from prison in 2014).

According to Major Ho Dinh Hoi, investigator of the Anti-Robbery Team of the Criminal Police Department (Vinh City Police), through the investigation, up to now (November 16), the two subjects initially confessed to having committed 13 robberies.
On the night of November 11, in addition to causing two robberies of gold necklaces belonging to Ms. Cao Thi Nhung and Ms. Tran Thi Giang, they also robbed a gold necklace worth 20 million VND from Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh (born in 1966, residing in Le Mao ward, Vinh city) while riding a motorbike on Phan Dang Luu street.
The total value of the gold necklaces of the 3 victims is about 60 million VND. Currently, the 2 subjects Ha Huy Tung and Pham Van Tuan are being detained for robbery to expand, investigate and handle.
