Announcing Yen Thanh town meeting urban civilization standards

Promoting the tradition of the town over 30 years old, in recent years, closely following the 5 standards with 25 criteria for building civilized urban areas, the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Thanh town have made efforts to create many improvements.

Economic growth rate reaches over 10%/year; economic structure develops towards increasing trade, services, and small-scale industry. Infrastructure, rural transportation, and flower and ornamental tree roads are invested and upgraded. Average income per capita reaches over 42 million VND/person/year.

The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life has been promoted, focusing on quality and sustainability. Up to now, 8/8 hamlets have been recognized as Cultural Villages; the rate of cultural families has reached over 92%; 100% of households have audio-visual equipment.

The management of urban order and discipline has gradually become more systematic; 100% of households have access to tap water and hygienic water, the poverty rate is now only 1.62%. etc.

At the announcement ceremony, the representative of the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district awarded the Certificate of recognition of achieving urban civilization standards for the period 2018-2019 to Yen Thanh town.

Also on this occasion, 15 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district for their many achievements in building the Town to meet urban civilization standards.
