Que Phong is a border district with many difficulties. For many years, households in some villages have lived without electricity. The greatest wish of the ethnic minorities in this locality is to enjoy a stable and long-term source of electricity.

Realizing the need for a national grid to promote socio-economic development of border communes and raise people's cultural, political and social awareness, Nghe An province has requested Nghe An Electricity Company to quickly complete the project to supply electricity to the remaining villages.

In the past, when there was no electricity grid, people in Muong Long, Nam Tot, and Huoi Sai villages used generators for their daily activities. However, due to weak electricity and frequent breakdowns, people encountered many difficulties. Now that people have electricity for lighting and daily activities, they can use rice cookers, washing machines, and air conditioners, as well as invest in developing economic models to increase their income.
