Cua Lo voters reflect their 'impatient' feelings about the suspended project to National Assembly delegates

“The fight against corruption has seen many positive changes, however, voters are concerned about the situation of “hot above but cold below”, which is not synchronized. The central level is determined but the lower levels have not yet taken drastic action in the fight against corruption,” said Mr. Hue.
Voter Phung Minh Sy of Nghi Thu ward reflected: "Asset recovery after anti-corruption is still low and suggests that the National Assembly and the Government need to strengthen handling."

Voters also reflected that in Cua Lo area, there are dozens of suspended projects. Voters requested the State to strengthen inspection, supervision and monitoring; resolutely revoke ineffective suspended projects; ensure planning and socio-economic development of the town.
Voter Vo Thanh Lich, block 6, Thu Thuy ward said: The province and town need to consider revoking suspended projects to effectively attract domestic and foreign investors to soon build Cua Lo into a coastal tourist city.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thanh Hien of the province acknowledged and highly appreciated the responsible opinions of voters. Delegate Nguyen Thanh Hien also informed voters of the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units of Van Don, Bac Van Phong, and Phu Quoc.
According to the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, corruption prevention and control is a “hot” issue of public concern. At the 5th session, the National Assembly gave opinions on the draft Law on Corruption Prevention and Control (amended) and is expected to pass it at the upcoming 6th session.
Other issues are compiled by the provincial National Assembly delegation and proposed to relevant agencies for handling in accordance with regulations.
