Voter Nguyen Van Hanh (People's Committee of Nghia Hoan commune) petitioned about the current low benefits for martyrs' relatives (mothers, fathers, wives). Photo: Quynh Lan |
Voter Nguyen Van Hanh (People's Committee of Nghia Hoan Commune) proposed that the current regime for martyrs' relatives (mothers, fathers, wives of martyrs) is still low compared to other subjects, such as war invalids and sick soldiers only receive 1,318,000 VND/month, but for Agent Orange subjects, it is 1,673,000 VND/month.
For those who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country and were awarded the Liberation Soldier Medal and the Glorious Soldier Medal, the State currently has no policy to resolve the one-time reward regime. For martyrs who have been recognized but have not been granted a Certificate of Merit by the Fatherland because their personal records may contain errors in date of birth, hometown, place of enlistment, relatives, etc., voter Nguyen Van Hanh requested the State to consider and soon have a policy and method to resolve this.
This voter also proposed that Nghia Hoan has been recognized as a commune in region 2, but civil servants are only entitled to the salary and allowance regime of a commune in region 1. He requested that the National Assembly representative reflect this content to the State Salary Policy Department to resolve for communes in region 2 to enjoy the regime as prescribed by the State.
