Voters of Tuong Duong commune petition on issues of land, counterfeit goods, and social security
On the morning of July 7, the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province met with voters of Tuong Duong commune, connecting online with the communes of Tam Quang, Tam Thai, Luong Minh, Yen Na, Nga My, Huu Khuong, and Nhon Mai after the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.


At the meeting, on behalf of the National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh reported to voters the results of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly and the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province.
At the 9th Session, the National Assembly discussed and approved many important contents, such as: Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; laws, decrees, decisions, and instructions on the arrangement of administrative units and orientations for national development in the new period...

The 9th session of the 15th National Assembly is a session of special significance in terms of politics, law and national development. The decisions adopted at this session have made an important contribution to perfecting institutions, promoting rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, improving the quality of people's lives and especially the restructuring of the administrative apparatus towards streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency.

Voters of Tuong Duong commune also contributed many opinions and recommendations, focusing on the fields of land, basic construction, rural transportation, domestic water supply, social policy support and protection of people's rights after administrative merger.
Voters of Xieng Huong village proposed to thoroughly handle the situation of inadequate compensation for some households, as well as to soon announce the plan to divide the land returned by Nam Non Hydropower Plant so that people can access public and transparent auctions.
Voters in Khe Ngau village reported that in 2003, a working group from the province, district and commune cadastral offices came to the village to re-plan agricultural and forestry land for the people. However, up to now, some households have discovered that the actual land division does not match the planned map. Voters requested that specialized agencies inspect and adjust the current status to ensure the rights of the people.

Voters of Pung village request that all levels and sectors promptly direct the completion of the Pung village domestic water project and the remaining items of the project's subcontract package.
Voters of Ban Chan proposed stronger measures to control and handle the widespread production and trade of counterfeit and poor quality goods, which directly affect people's health and psychology.
In addition, many voters from communes such as Tam Quang, Tam Thai, Luong Minh, Yen Na, Nga My, Huu Khuong, Nhon Mai also expressed their hope that the National Assembly and the Government will continue to pay attention to social security policies for relatives of martyrs, the elderly, the lonely, and the disadvantaged in remote areas; change the purpose of using forest land to residential land and production land; treat waste from hydroelectric reservoirs; build resettlement areas for people in areas affected by flash floods; speed up the issuance of land use right certificates in areas affected by hydroelectric projects; invest in building more boarding houses, kitchens, and toilets for students, etc.
After receiving voters' opinions, representatives of provincial departments and branches and Tuong Duong commune responded to the contents within their authority.

Taking note of and absorbing the opinions, Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu - a member of the National Assembly who works full-time at the Law and Justice Committee of the National Assembly, highly appreciated the frankness and responsibility of the voters of Tuong Duong. Delegate Hoang Minh Hieu said that the National Assembly delegation will fully convey the recommendations to the National Assembly, the Government and relevant agencies. Regarding the contents under the authority of the province and commune, the National Assembly delegates will urge and supervise to soon have a satisfactory response to the voters.
