Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu met with voters of Tuong Duong district
On the afternoon of June 3, at Huu Khuong commune, Tuong Duong district, delegates of the Provincial People's Council including comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Luong - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Tuong Duong District Party Committee met with voters of Huu Khuong and Nhon Mai communes, Tuong Duong district.
Also attending the meeting with voters were leaders of the Department of Finance, Construction, Ethnic Minorities and Religions; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of Tuong Duong district.

At the conference, on behalf of the Provincial People's Council Delegation, Comrade Le Van Luong informed voters about the expected content and program of the mid-year 2025 Provincial People's Council session, scheduled to take place from July 9-10, 2025. The session will consider 27 reports and is expected to pass 17 important resolutions related to socio-economic development, national defense - security and people's livelihood issues of the province.

Provincial People's Council delegate Le Van Luong also briefly reported on the province's socio-economic situation in the first 5 months of 2025 in the province and the results of resolving voters' petitions in Tuong Duong district at the end of 2024 session.
At the conference, there were 13 opinions from voters of Huu Khuong and Nhon Mai communes reflecting to the provincial People's Council delegates with 20 issues in various fields.

Reflecting his thoughts to the People's Council delegates, voter Lu Ngoc Tinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhon Mai commune said: The flood on May 29, 2025 washed away a suspension bridge in Nhon Mai village, Nhon Mai commune. People hope that competent authorities will consider replacing the hard bridge so that people can travel conveniently and safely. Currently, Nhon Mai commune has 5 villages without telephone signal, including: Huoi Co; Huoi Man; Pha Mut; Phia Oi, Pieng Duong. Request competent authorities to consider supporting the construction of telephone coverage for 5 villages.
Voter Lu Ngoc Tinh suggested that the State support the construction of two new irrigation works that were damaged in Na Hy and Nhon Mai villages; the construction of a new domestic water work in Nhon Mai village that was swept away by flood; and the urgent evacuation of 20 households in Xoi Voi village that is at high risk of landslides.

Regarding the support for people affected by floods and storms, voter Pit Thi Thoa - Con Phen village, Huu Khuong commune reported that the heavy rain on the evening of May 29, 2025 on the lake in Huu Khuong commune had a lot of garbage and rotten wood from upstream, causing obstruction of waterway traffic and affecting the environment for households living on the lake. Requesting competent authorities, sectors and enterprises to promptly address this issue.


Voters also requested the competent authority to consider and recognize Huu Khuong commune as a special commune because Huu Khuong commune is not a border commune but its terrain is divided by rivers, making travel, trade, and access to medical, educational, and administrative services difficult. At the same time, economic development is slow, the poverty rate is still high; people's lives are still difficult, and commune officials, civil servants, and public employees have to work in poor and difficult conditions...

Voter Mac Binh Minh, Xan village, Huu Khuong commune, requested the competent authority to build a bridge across the stream (with 42 households), which is currently difficult to travel, especially when there are floods. At the same time, the issue of land encroachment between localities must be resolved.
Voters of Huu Khuong commune requested the investor to speed up the construction progress of the road from Huu Khuong commune to the center of Nhon Mai and Mai Son communes. Voters of Huoi Pung village requested to speed up the progress, implement the contents of the project, resettlement area (Khe Hoc), relocate households of Huoi Pung village, and soon move to a new place in Khe Hoc so that people can stabilize their lives (this project is invested by the District People's Committee).
In addition, voters requested that superiors consider having special regimes and policies for cadres and teachers working in Huu Khuong commune; requested that superiors have a policy to provide funding to build public housing and collective kitchens for cadres working at Huu Khuong Commune People's Committee (because there are many cadres from other communes working in Huu Khuong commune and they live far away, so they cannot go back and forth during the day).

Voters' opinions and recommendations were received and explained by leaders of Tuong Duong district; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors within their authority.
Urgent support for people to overcome consequences of floods
Receiving and clarifying the petitions of voters of Tuong Duong district, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council shared the difficulties of cadres and people of Nhon Mai and Huu Khuong communes.

He requested the Party Committee and the authorities of Tuong Duong district and other localities to actively support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. In the immediate future, the authorities need to take action to prevent people from going hungry, cold, and homeless. It is necessary to immediately repair the landslide-hit roads so that people can travel.
At the same time, the District People's Committee established a working group to coordinate with the commune to conduct field surveys, balance local budget sources and support sources from the province, other agencies, departments and units to quickly deploy the projects.

Regarding the request for funding support from higher levels for the commune to repair and restore roads damaged by landslides caused by heavy rain, flash floods and landslides on the evening of May 29, 2025, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu said: On June 2, 2025, a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman, along with a number of relevant departments and the District People's Committee, conducted a field inspection. Based on the inspection results of the delegation, the District People's Committee will draft a report to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments to consider allocating funding to repair and restore damaged roads.
After the flash flood occurred, Nghe An province allocated 2.5 billion VND to support 2 communes (Nhon Mai: 1.5 billion VND, Huu Khuong: 1.0 billion VND) from the province's emergency relief fund to help people overcome the consequences; Power Generation Company 1 also supported 400 million VND (Nhon Mai commune: 200 million; Huu Khuong: 200 million). The district People's Committee will allocate from the province's relief fund to buy rice to support 88 affected households.


The Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council has fully compiled the opinions and legitimate recommendations of voters in Nhon Mai and Huu Khuong communes to report at the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting and forward to competent authorities, ensuring the legitimate rights and meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people.


Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also assigned departments and branches to receive recommendations, promptly respond and resolve voters' recommendations according to their authority.
