Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh met with voters of Cao Son commune, Anh Son district.

Also participating in the voter contact were comrades: Nguyen Huu Sang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Hoang Quyen - Chairman of the District People's Committee andAnh Son District People's Council delegates.

At the conference, the Provincial People's Council delegates informed the voters of Cao Son commune about the socio-economic, defense and security situation in the province and Anh Son district in the first 4 months of the year, and the key tasks in the coming time. The Provincial People's Council delegates also announced the expected program and content of the Provincial People's Council meeting in mid-2025.

Voters of Cao Son commune highly appreciated the leadership, direction and administration of Party committees and authorities at all levels in socio-economic development, national defense and security; at the same time, they raised many opinions and recommendations to the provincial and district People's Council delegates.

Voters of Cao Son commune reported that in the commune, there are 2 roads that have been included in the public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 by the People's Council of Anh Son district, but up to now, they have not been implemented. Therefore, voters requested provincial departments and branches to allocate capital to start construction of the above 2 roads.

Also related to traffic infrastructure, voters requested that all levels pay attention to upgrading and repairing the road from Cao Son gas station to Long Son commune, which is currently seriously degraded, affecting traffic and travel of people in the area.

Voters believe that the team of part-time commune cadres has contributed to the locality for a long time, and their qualifications are not inferior to those of commune-level civil servants. Now, because of the merger, they have to quit their jobs according to the general policy, which is very disadvantageous; therefore, voters suggest that the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee have policies to support the team of part-time commune and village cadres after the merger.

Voters also requested the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee to include Cao Son tea trees in the list of specific support in building support policies due to natural disasters.

Voters are still concerned and worried about the problem of fake and poor quality food that authorities have discovered in recent times, especially essential goods related to human health such as fake Western medicine, fake fish sauce, fake MSG, fake soft drinks, etc. They are requested to strengthen state management of food safety and prevention of smuggled, counterfeit and poor quality goods.

Regarding telecommunications infrastructure serving public services, voters of Cao Son commune expressed their opinions that the telecommunications infrastructure system in the area has been frequently interrupted in recent times, causing difficulties in implementing online public services. Voters requested the Provincial and District People's Councils and all levels and sectors to have policies to improve the quality of transmission lines, ensuring better service during the digital transformation process.

In addition, voters' recommendations on: supporting funding for administrative boundary measurement; job creation for workers; anti-corruption; personnel work after reorganization; rural traffic infrastructure; delayed payment of livestock support due to natural disasters and epidemics; ... were also reflected by voters at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh highly appreciated the solidarity and unity of cadres and people so that Cao Son commune today has a new, more spacious and clean appearance, and the people's lives are increasingly improved.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that despite many difficulties and challenges, in the first months of 2025, the province's socio-economic situation has achieved some positive results, reflected in the economic growth rate, FDI attraction has been maintained, and investment attraction policies have been implemented in a transparent manner. In particular, the Housing Support Program for poor households and households in difficult circumstances continues to receive the province's attention and drastic implementation, and to date, more than 17,000 houses have been completed and repaired.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the frank and responsible opinions and recommendations of voters for the development of the locality and the province and directly exchanged, responded to and received the opinions and recommendations of voters.

Regarding the work of ensuring food hygiene and safety, preventing counterfeit and poor quality goods, comrade Le Hong Vinh said that the province has just signed a Decision to establish a Working Group against smuggling and trade fraud headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. However, currently, the state management of food hygiene and safety is facing many difficulties. In addition, some smugglers, counterfeit and poor quality goods are very aggressive. Nghe An has a long border, many border gates and small-scale roads, so controlling the circulation of goods is also facing many difficulties.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the voters of Cao Son commune will share the difficulties and challenges in the direction and management of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and ensuring national security and defense of the provincial leaders. At the same time, they will continue to care, support and accompany each other to further develop the province's socio-economic development.
