Cua Lo welcomes more than 3 million visitors in the first year of tourism recovery

Specifically, the total number of visitors from the beginning of the year to date is estimated at over 3 million, an increase of 197% of the annual plan. Of which, the number of overnight visitors is estimated at over 1 million, reaching 201% of the annual plan. Foreign visitors: 115 groups, 1,036 people. Revenue from service and tourism activities is estimated at 3,218 billion VND, reaching 211% of the annual plan.

Preparations for the Tourism Year and the opening of the Tourism Festival 2022 have been carried out by the departments, agencies, branches of the town and wards to ensure timely progress and time. On the evening of April 8, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2022 took place and the art program with the theme "Cua Lo loves the sea and the desire to shine", especially the special 15-minute fireworks display created a highlight to open a prosperous year of Cua Lo tourism, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of tourists and people.

After the opening of the Festival, the town organized a series of cultural, sports and festival activities to serve the people and tourists such as: Human Chess Tournament; Street Music Festival Program; Art program about Vi and Giam; Cau Ngu Festival in Nghi Hai Ward; Requiem Festival, candle lighting to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs and Hoa Dang Festival, Hot Air Balloon Festival... These activities all attracted a large number of tourists to visit and experience.

Currently, the entire political system in the town is focusing on the "sprint" phase of the policy of clearing business kiosks in the park area east of Binh Minh Street, in order to plan the development of a modern and civilized Cua Lo beach tourism space, ensuring a clean and beautiful urban landscape.

According to a report from the Urban Management Department of Cua Lo Town, by October 30, the entire town had completed the dismantling of 203/209 kiosks and 16 parking lots. Two wards had completed the dismantling, Nghi Huong and Nghi Thu. Currently, there are only two kiosks that have not been dismantled and four kiosks have had their belongings moved in to prepare for dismantling in the coming days.

According to the plan, from October 30, 2022 to December 31, 2022, the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects of the town will clear, level, and transport all construction waste out of the park area to the designated place, clean up and restore the site.

In addition to clearing the kiosks on the east side of Binh Minh Street, the issue of renovating technical infrastructure items associated with organizing business activities on the west side of Binh Minh Street will also be focused on in the coming time.
