Nghe Tinh State Reserve Department celebrates 60th anniversary of tradition

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of July 30, in Vinh City, the State Reserve Department (DTNN) of Nghe Tinh region held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the State Reserve sector's tradition (August 7, 1956-2016).

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Huu Chi - Deputy Minister of Finance, representative of the General Department of State Reserves.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades leading the departments of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Vinh city.

On the side of Ha Tinh province, there were comrades: Tran Nam Hong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dang Quoc Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On August 7, 1956, the State Materials Management Department was established with 18 reserve material representative boards, including the Reserve Material Representative Board of Nghe An province and the Reserve Material Representative Board of Ha Tinh province. These were the two predecessor representative boards of the State Materials Management Department of Nghe Tinh region.

Currently, the Nghe Tinh Regional State Reserve Department is an organization under the General Department of State Reserves, Ministry of Finance, performing the task of managing state reserves in Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Over the past 60 years of establishment, the Nghe Tinh Regional Reserve Department has made great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national unification, construction and defense of the Fatherland. Currently, the unit has a total warehouse capacity of over 90,000 tons with a variety of strategic reserve goods and materials of the State.

The reserve warehouse system of the Nghe Tinh Regional Reserve Department is invested in modernly.

From 2006 to present, the Department has provided 106,500 tons of rice for relief and hunger relief for people during natural disasters and crop failures; 20 sets of forest fire fighting equipment, 38 speedboats, 1,370 sets of tents, 37,460 life buoys, 380 light life rafts, etc.

In order to modernize the agricultural sector, the Department has been implementing large-scale, modern storage projects, applying advanced preservation technology to ensure the quality of stored goods such as: rice preservation technology in inert gas environment, paddy preservation in sealed environment...

The Nghe Tinh Regional Reserve Department always pays attention to the recruitment, training and development of staff. Up to now, the unit has 33% of civil servants with university and postgraduate degrees; 100% of warehouse keepers and preservation technicians have intermediate specialized qualifications.

The Department of Reserves in Nghe Tinh region provides rice to people in Western Nghe An.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Huu Chi acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Department over the past 60 years. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, comrade Nguyen Huu Chi emphasized that with the assigned functions and tasks, the Department needs to ensure timely issuance of reserve goods when natural disasters and epidemics occur in the area and do a good job of stabilizing the market.

In addition, the Department needs to develop a strategy and plan for national reserve in the area with a reasonable structure, suitable for the locality; strengthen the propaganda of the Law on National Reserves; perform well the advisory work, propose to the General Department of National Reserves to work with the whole sector to perform well its functions and tasks; coordinate well with localities, thereby maintaining the trust of the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

The Deputy Minister of Finance also noted that the Department continues to build a team of cadres and civil servants with expertise and strong ideology; promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; practice thrift and combat waste; review and pay attention to investing in building reserve warehouses and renovating old warehouses for preservation with the motto of implementing with focus and key points to have a modern warehouse system.

In addition, the Department needs to pay attention to strengthening management work in each stage, promoting initiatives, enhancing the role of leaders; effectively implementing party building work, democratic regulations at the grassroots level, and cultural agencies.

On the other hand, the Department of State Reserves in Nghe Tinh region needs to continue to do a good job in planning, training and fostering cadres; launching emulation movements in each unit, replicating advanced models. The Deputy Minister of Finance affirmed that the Ministry will continue to pay attention to allocating capital to build infrastructure for the industry to meet the increasingly high requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Huu Chi presented the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Finance in 2015 to the Department of State Reserves in Nghe Tinh region.

On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province requested: The Department of State Reserves in Nghe Tinh region fully grasps and continues to closely follow the policies of the Party and State, the direction of the Ministry of Finance and the actual situation of each locality to carry out the work of State reserve.

The Standing Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also believes that the Department will continue to coordinate with localities to perform its tasks well; at the same time, he thanks and hopes to continue to receive the attention and support of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance in this field, contributing to ensuring social security and building the economy of Nghe An and Ha Tinh to develop more and more.

At the ceremony, the Nghe Tinh Regional Reserve Department was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Finance for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of the financial sector in 2015;

The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces presented a banner to the Nghe Tinh Regional Department of State Reserves on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the sector's tradition. The Nghe An Provincial People's Committee presented the Nghi Loc Regional Department of State Reserves under the Nghe Tinh Regional Department of State Reserves with an emulation flag.
