Saving a woman who committed suicide by eating poison ivy
(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. Pham Thi K. ate poison ivy to commit suicide and is currently receiving emergency treatment at the Tri Le Commune Health Station, Que Phong District (Nghe An).
Mr. Vi Van Cuong - Chairman of Tri Le Commune People's Committee (Que Phong) confirmed that there had just been a case of a local resident committing suicide by eating poison ivy and is currently being treated by military medical staff of the border guard station and staff of Tri Le Commune Health Station.

The person who ate the poison ivy is Ms. Pham Thi K. (26 years old), a Mong ethnic in Son La province, married to a Mong man living in Pa Khom village (Tri Le). This morning (May 25), at around 7:30 am, Ms. Pham Thi K went into the forest near her house to pick poison ivy to eat.
Ms. K. was discovered in time by local people and taken to the Tri Le Commune Health Station for emergency treatment. Tri Le Border Guard Station also promptly sent military doctors to coordinate the treatment.

After the doctors used crushed banana stems and gave the victim the juice to induce vomiting, the victim's critical condition was over.
However, Ms. Pham Thi K is still unconscious and is being monitored by medical staff.
