(Baonghean.vn) - The test results from the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology were negative. However, this patient is still being kept at the medical facility.

Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province said: The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has just received a Covid-19 test result report for a suspected case from Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district. Accordingly, the sample of this case is negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Up to this point, Nghe An has not had any positive cases of nCoV.

With this result, the patient is still kept and isolated at the Tropical Disease Center, Provincial General Hospital to continue monitoring and treating the symptoms as well as existing hepatitis.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: On the evening of March 16, another case in Nghe An had its Covid-19 test sample taken to send to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. This case is from Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu, and had just returned on flight QR968 on March 13 with "case 51".

There were 10 other people on this flight from Nghe An. After confirming that one of the passengers on this flight tested positive for Covid-19, Nghe An province quickly found these 11 people to quarantine. The case in Quynh Giang commune was quarantined at the Quynh Luu District Medical Center. However, he later had a high fever, so on the afternoon of March 16, he was transferred to the Tropical Disease Center of Nghe An General Hospital for quarantine and treatment.

Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh also said: On March 17, the unit organized 14 working groups to go to 12 districts, towns and cities to collect samples for testing for 80 cases being quarantined in centralized facilities and medical facilities. These 80 cases are people returning from Europe and epidemic-hit countries.

Tonight, these 80 samples will be sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing. Any case with negative test results will be quarantined at home.

It is expected that by tomorrow evening (March 18), the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology will have a specific result report.
