Delegates attend the conference to promote sea and island activities in memory of President Ho Chi Minh

On the afternoon of January 7, the delegation attending the conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2020 between the Naval Region I Command and the Propaganda Department of 6 provinces organized a flower offering and incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Relic Site and Chung Son Temple in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.

He devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation, fighting for peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people. He was honored as a national liberation hero and world cultural celebrity.

Implementing his sacred testament, over the past years, the Command of Naval Region I and the Propaganda Department of 6 provinces: Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Tuyen Quang and Nghe An have always done a good job of coordinating propaganda about the sea and islands. This is an activity to raise awareness among cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups and provinces about the importance of contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

This conference contributes to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 10th Central Committee on "Vietnam's sea and island strategy to 2020" and the Resolution of the 12th Central Committee on "Vietnam's sustainable marine economic development strategy to 2030, vision 2045".

Next, the delegation of the Naval Region Command andPropaganda DepartmentNghe An Provincial Party Committee visited and offered flowers and incense at Chung Son Temple - the ancestral temple of President Ho Chi Minh at Chung Mountain, Kim Lien Commune, to express gratitude for the great contributions of Uncle Ho's parents and siblings.

As part of the Conference's activities, on the afternoon of January 7, at three high schools Le Viet Thuat, Huynh Thuc Khang and Ha Huy Tap - Vinh City, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with Brigade 147 under the Navy Region I Command to organize a conference to promote the sea and islands and attract human resources to build a modern Vietnam People's Navy.

At the conference, officers, teachers and students of 3 high schools were informed by the commander of the 147th Naval Brigade about the position, role and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands in socio-economic development and ensuring Vietnam's national defense and security.

Also at the conference, delegates introduced the Naval Academy and policies to attract human resources to build an increasingly professional and modern Navy. Through this form, it aims to raise awareness and understanding of the ocean, survival skills, adaptation to climate change, especially raising awareness of protecting sea and island sovereignty.
