National Assembly delegates request Anh Son district to take measures to completely handle waste pollution

After listening to delegate Le Quang Huy briefly summarize the 8th session of the National Assembly, Anh Son voters highly appreciated the activities of the provincial National Assembly delegation at the session, especially in the questioning and answering of questions. Many voters' opinions were sent to central ministries and branches, as well as being excited about the achievements in the country's socio-economic development.

Voter Pham Van Bac reported that farmers in Vinh Son commune are increasingly lacking land for production due to the gradual erosion of alluvial land. The cause comes from upstream due to hydropower dams releasing floodwaters, while downstream, sand bandits are rampant. Voters requested support for Vinh Son residents in building embankments to protect land and prevent erosion, and that authorities should fight to reduce illegal sand and gravel mining.

Voter Dang Hung Cuong reported local public opinion on the National Highway 534 project, which has been under construction for 10 years, with 10km remaining unaccepted due to poor quality. Voters requested relevant authorities to promptly review, remedy and complete the project.

Voter Duong Duc Duong proposed attention and support for investment capital, fertilizers, seeds, as well as helping farmers find outlets for agricultural products. In addition, regarding social security issues, voter Duong suggested tightening the management of content on social networks, fighting against distorted arguments.

Voters' recommendations also relate to issues such as environmental waste causing pollution, making people's lives difficult.

At the meeting, voters' petitions were explained by district leaders and representatives of provincial departments and branches on issues within their authority.

On behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Major General Nguyen Huu Cau, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, acknowledged the opinions of voters of Anh Son district, explained specifically and clearly the issues under his authority; at the same time, he will fully absorb the voters' reflections to report to the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries, branches and the province for resolution in the coming time.

Regarding the issue of waste pollution, delegate Nguyen Huu Cau suggested that the district consider including it in medium-term public investment, or work with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to come up with measures to thoroughly handle this issue, not letting people complain for a long time.
