Vinh University Student Union Congress: 27 students join the new Executive Committee

Vinh University currently has 16,449 students studying at the school. During the past term, the school's Student Association has implemented many programs and solutions, with many good models, new and effective methods; creating a favorable environment for students to strive to practice, while bringing benefits to the community.

Notably, the "5 Good Students" movement has developed strongly, becoming a large movement among students, creating an environment for students to practice and strive comprehensively.

During the term, 105 students were honored with the “January Star” award, 165 students with the “5 Good Students” award; 5 groups with the “5 Good Students” award at the school level. 3 students with the “January Star” award and 2 students with the “5 Good Students” award at the Central level.

In addition, students actively participate in scientific research, with 214 student topics participating in the school-level scientific research conference; 11 topics were submitted to participate in the Vietnam Young Scientific Talent Award; 16 groups and 121 individuals were awarded by the school's Principal for their outstanding achievements in scientific research.

In the movement to strive for excellent students and good students in the past two school years, there were 213 excellent students; 2,104 good students; 20 students graduated with honors; 187 good students were commended and rewarded.

At the same time, the Student Association organizes many activities to create an environment for students to volunteer for community life and proactively integrate into the international community such as: volunteer activities, gratitude, joining hands for the community, donating blood, etc.

The work of building and strengthening a strong Student Association continues to develop in both scale and quality.

In addition, the Student Union organizes many activities aimed at creative development and comprehensive development of students' skills.

The congress elected 27 students to the Executive Committee of the Vinh University Student Association, term XI, 2018-2020.

Student Phan Thi Quynh Trang, class K55 A1, Faculty of Literature and Pedagogy, was re-elected as President of the Student Union of Vinh University, term XI, 2018-2020; The Congress elected 40 delegates to attend the Congress of Delegates of the Student Union of Nghe An province, term 2018-2023.

With the slogan of action: Vinh University Students: Courage - Creativity - Volunteerism - Integration. For the 2018-2020 term, Vinh University Student Association sets a number of key targets:

- 100% of cadres, members and 100% of students are informed, thoroughly understood and studied about the Resolutions of the Party, Youth Union and Association.

- Student Association has student projects and work.

- 100% of the Youth Union branches organize the movement "5 Good Students".

- Propaganda, mobilization, and recruitment of 100% of new students into the school's Student Union.

- Develop regular, on-site volunteer activities, joining hands with the community. Promote and mobilize students to donate 2,000 units of blood.

- Develop organization and activities of clubs, teams and groups.

- During the term, the Student Association organized at least 1 activity to support student startups, 1 international student exchange program, and a student forum on integration.

- 100% of the school's branches, unions and Student Associations have forms of support for students to participate in scientific research.

- 100% of the branches, inter-branch unions and Student Associations organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities, improve spiritual life and actively support students' learning and training activities.
