Congress to establish a branch to support martyrs' families in Thanh Chuong district

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of July 21, Thanh Chuong district held a founding congress.Association supporting martyrs' families. Attending were Mr. Ho Duc Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Association for Supporting Families of Vietnamese Martyrs, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An.

Thanh Chuong is a locality with a rich cultural history and a patriotic tradition. Through the revolutionary struggles, more than 50,000 people went to save the country, of which more than 5,000 remained on the battlefields. Over the years, the Party Committee, government and people have actively cared for and done well the work of gratitude.

The establishment of the association to support martyrs' families aims to assist martyrs' families in accessing and implementing the policies of the Party and the State, contributing to helping martyrs' families collect information, identify and search for martyrs' remains, participate in research and propose to state management agencies solutions to implement policies to honor and show gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution.

At the Congress, delegates were evaluated on the effectiveness of the activities of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An, the process of promoting the congress to establish the Thanh Chuong branch and orienting the tasks in the coming time. The Congress also introduced and elected an Executive Committee consisting of 13 representatives from the leaders of the District People's Committee, departments and branches.

Buddhist nun Thich Nu Dieu Nhan gives gifts to policy beneficiaries

At the Congress of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Nghe An Province, 5 savings books were presented, and the People's Committee presented 5 savings books, each worth 5 million VND, to 10 outstanding martyrs' relatives. Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Nhan - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An Province presented 82 million VND in gifts to policy beneficiaries in the district.
