FDI investment in Nghe An in 2023: About to surpass the 'billion dollar' mark
(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, Nghe An is about to grant investment certificates to 2 FDI projects with a total capital of about 153 million USD.
Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of Management BoardSoutheast Economic Zonesaid that from the beginning of 2023 to August 23, the Economic Zone has attracted a total FDI capital of 890 million USD and if nothing changes, in the next few days, it will grant certificates and investment licenses to 2 new projects, including 1 project worth 110 million USD and 1 project worth 43 million USD, so the total capital will exceed the "billion dollar" mark with the mark of 1.037 billion USD.

Also according to the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, from July 15, 2023 to August 15, 2023, Nghe An will issue new Investment Registration Certificates for 03 projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 4,044.8 billion (01 FDI project with a total investment capital of VND 3,872.55 billion, equivalent to 165 million USD); in addition, 05 projects will be adjusted. The total newly granted and adjusted capital is VND 4,044.8 billion.

To proactively welcome investors, along with completing functional zones 1/2000, local adjustments in industrial parks, promoting social infrastructure investment projects such associal housing for workers, experts; human resource training..., the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone and departments closely follow the province's investment policies to continue implementing infrastructure projects in the Economic Zone.
Specifically, continue to construct the connecting road from N5 connecting to the National coastal road through Nghi Loc to Cua Lo deep-water port, N2 road east of National Highway 1 in Dien Chau; start construction of the drainage system of VSIP - Tho Loc Industrial Park, the road to CN 30 with a total investment of 135 billion VND; at the same time, propose to relocate the power line of VSIP - Tho Loc Industrial Park.


In addition, the Board continues to complete the procedures for reporting to the Provincial People's Committee and submitting to the Provincial People's Council for approval of the adjustment of the investment policy for the Resettlement Rescue Road project in Dong Hoi and Line 2, Road Area A - Nam Cam Industrial Park. Currently, the construction and installation package for the relocation of 110 KV and 22 KV power lines under the Railway Overpass Project at N2 has completed bidding. The Board continues to speed up the construction progress and site clearance of 6 projects: Road N5-1, Road N2, Railway Overpass at Road N2, Drainage Channel along Road N5, Road N3; Road to Hoang Mai Industrial Park 1; construction of WHA-2 Drainage Channel.
