(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 25, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held an online conference "Evaluating the implementation of 5-year goals and tasks (2011 - 2015) and directions and goals and tasks for 5 years (2016 - 2020) in the field of meritorious people and society".

According to the report at the Conference, over the past 5 years, many development goals and targets of the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs sector have basically been completed and exceeded the set plan. Notably, over 478 thousand people were exported (106.2% of the plan), reducing the rate of working-age laborers in urban areas to below 4%; the implementation of preferential policies and regimes for people with meritorious services, poverty reduction, social protection, child care and protection, etc. were promoted and achieved many positive results.

In the past 5 years, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An has created jobs for 178,300 workers (achieving the target set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress), recruited and trained 412,3185 people, reaching 101.35% of the plan, the rate of workers receiving vocational training increased from 36% to 46%; the poverty rate decreased from 22.89% at the end of 2010 to 7.5% at the end of 2015 (exceeding the target set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress)...
