By 2030, Nghe An will have 5,000 rural industrial establishments.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 10, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a meeting to give opinions on the adjusted and supplemented planning for rural industries until 2020 with a vision to 2030.
Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Departments of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, and Planning and Investment.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, up to now, the whole province has 33,271 rural industry establishments, including 139 craft villages in forestry and aquatic product processing, construction material production, rattan and bamboo weaving, mechanics, brocade weaving, stone carving, etc.
There are currently 3 districts without craft villages: Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Quy Hop. Craft villages have created jobs for more than 70 thousand workers, the average income of workers creating craft villages is currently 3 - 4 million VND/person/month.
In the period 2010 - 2016, the production value of rural industries reached approximately 14 trillion VND, reaching 86% of the plan.
However, rural industries in the past period still have some shortcomings and limitations: The policy on supporting the development of rural industries according to Circular No. 112 of the Ministry of Finance has not really reached the establishments and workers. The connection between establishments with scientists, investors and the market is not closely connected, technology and equipment are outdated, production efficiency is low...

At the meeting, delegates agreed to adjust some key contents: The target for the 2016-2020 period is for the growth rate of production value to reach 14-14.5%/year; the number of rural industry establishments to reach 38,100 establishments, creating jobs for 82,000 to 85,000 workers, and the average income of workers to reach 5-6 million VND/person/month.
By 2030, the production value growth rate will reach 12%/year, with 45,000 - 50,000 rural industry establishments, creating jobs for about 120,000 - 150,000 workers, with an average income of 7 - 8 million VND/person/month.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to receive comments from members to supplement and complete the report.submitted to the Provincial People's Committee in February 2017. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee further emphasized: The roadmap for implementing the planning needs to have a forecast of the plan for each year; implementation solutions need to pay special attention to environmental issues.
