Robbery because of losing World Cup bet
Nguyen Viet Khanh, 20 years old, and his friend lost a football bet so they planned to hire a motorbike taxi driver in a deserted place and attack him to rob him.
On December 5, Khanh and Le Vinh Quang (21 years old) were arrested by Binh Tan District Police, Ho Chi Minh City for the act of ""Robbery".
According to the investigation, Khanh and Quang lost a football bet and had no money to share, so they discussed robbing each other. They went to an empty lot in Binh Hung Hoa A ward, Binh Tan district, and booked a GoJek motorbike taxi.

When the motorbike taxi driver arrived, Quang pretended to talk to him, then suddenly covered his head with his shirt and threw him to the ground. Khanh grabbed a wooden stick and threatened to beat the victim, forcing him to run away. The two robbers took the motorbike to District 10 and pawned it for nearly 4 million VND.
During the investigation, the police tracked down Khanh and Quang and initially admitted to their actions.
