Dien Bien learns from experience in building new rural areas in Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 2, a working delegation from Dien Bien district (Dien Bien province) led by Mr. Nguyen Huu Khoi - Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the District People's Committee visited and learned about the experience of building new rural areas in Quy Hop district.

After visiting some economic models in Minh Hop commune, the commune with the biggest breakthrough in new rural construction in Quy Hop, completing many criteria in a short time, with many effective production development models, increasing people's income by hundreds of millions of VND/year.

At the meeting, the two localities discussed the natural conditions, socio-economic situation, national defense and security of each locality. The working delegation of Dien Bien district was informed by the Steering Committee for New Rural Development of Quy Hop district: Up to now, the number of criteria in the whole district of Quy Hop has increased quite a lot, on average each commune has achieved 9.75 criteria/commune. There are 5 communes including Chau Quang, Tam Hop, Dong Hop, Nghia Xuan and Minh Hop that have been recognized as meeting the New Rural standards. Tho Hop has achieved 15/19 criteria. Chau Cuong and Chau Ly communes have achieved 8 criteria. 02 communes have achieved 7 criteria including Chau Dinh and Chau Hong. 6 communes have achieved 6 criteria and 4 communes have achieved 5 criteria.

Accordingly, regarding experience in building new rural areas, according to the Steering Committee for building new rural areas in Quy Hop district, it is necessary to follow the viewpoint of taking the hamlet, residential area as the organizing unit, promoting the role of each individual and household according to the motto "People know - people discuss - people do - people enjoy", "Work from home to hamlet, from hamlet to commune"; "Work from field to hamlet, from hamlet to commune"... Along with that, actively mobilize all resources from businesses, social organizations, children of the homeland in all parts of the country as well as abroad, especially encourage people to proactively participate in building new rural areas.

On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Nguyen Huu Khoi - Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Dien Bien District People's Committee thanked Quy Hop District for sharing experiences, good and creative practices and achievements in new rural construction. He affirmed that this will be a valuable lesson for Dien Bien District to build new models that bring high efficiency and sustainability, in order to successfully implement the local new rural construction goal in the coming time./.
