Dien Chau has 23 people with dengue fever
(Baonghean.vn) - The dengue fever outbreak in Dien Chau district from September 3 to 18 has infected 23 people. Currently, the district's health sector is focusing on measures to prevent the epidemic.
The first two cases appeared on September 3 in Nam Thinh hamlet. Up to now, dengue fever has spread to Yen Thinh, Dong Loc, Tay Loc, Yen Quang hamlets of Dien Ngoc commune with a total of 22 cases.
Currently, 7 people have been cured, and 16 patients are being treated at Dien Ngoc Commune Health Station and the Infectious Diseases Department of Dien Chau District General Hospital.

Faced with the spread of the epidemic, Dien Chau district sent medical staff from the district and commune health centers to the hamlets to isolate the epidemic area, instruct people on environmental sanitation, turn over water containers, and establish epidemic surveillance teams in the hamlets.

At the same time, 90 liters of chemicals were provided to spray to kill mosquitoes and disinfect 5 hamlets of Dien Ngoc with 1,200 households and in the coming days, spraying will be carried out simultaneously throughout the commune.
Dien Ngoc used to be a hotspot for dengue fever in Dien Chau; in 2017, the whole commune had 127 cases. Currently, the district health sector has recorded 1 new case of dengue fever in Dien Ky commune.
