Dien Chau: New momentum from thematic resolutions

In 2017, the Dien Chau District Party Committee was classified as a Clean and Strong Party Committee by the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Dien Chau District Party Committee currently has 87 grassroots party organizations with 14,672 party members. In 2017, the District Party Committee has continuously innovated the content and form of activities. In particular, it attaches importance to political and ideological education; innovates cadre work, strengthens inspection and supervision work; and builds a close relationship between the Party and the people.

At the same time, deploy the study of thematic Resolutions; develop collective and individual plans to implement Directive No. 05 in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (term XII); direct and assign relevant departments and branches to develop plans, programs, and guidelines for effective implementation of the Directive; Plan No. 78 - KH/HU dated May 19, 2017 of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on the preliminary review of 1 year of implementing Directive 05 - CT/TW to ensure the correct content of the instructions and achieve the required goals. Build 39 exemplary individuals and 18 collectives; commend and reward 6 collectives and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Uncle Ho's example. Establish a team of effective social opinion collaborators, proactively grasp and promptly reflect information. Perfect Steering Committee 94 on the fight against the "Peaceful Evolution" plot in the field of propaganda; Fight and refute the plots of hostile forces to take advantage of the religious situation to disrupt security and order, social safety, and affect the solidarity between religions and non-religious people.

From those actions, in 2017, the Party Committee continued to maintain the title of Strong and Clean Party Committee, ranking at the top of the province; the government and mass organizations all excellently completed their tasks.

In 2017 alone, the Party Committee continued to direct the implementation of Resolution 35/NQ-CP of the Government on supporting and developing enterprises until 2020; implementing the Project "Attracting investment in developing industry, small-scale industry and craft villages in the period of 2016 - 2020"; Project on applying science and high technology to promote the development of agriculture, forestry and fishery associated with the processing industry and building product brands; Project on building and developing the cultural life of Dien Chau district; improving the operational efficiency of the district radio and television station and the grassroots radio system in the period of 2016 - 2020; Project on poverty reduction, vocational training and job creation for rural workers in the period of 2016 - 2020; Project on developing the marine economy in the period of 2016 - 2020 and the following years (in the fields of fishing, aquaculture, seafood processing, etc.).

From the drastic direction of implementing the Resolutions and Projects issued by the Party Committee, in 2017, the total production value of Dien Chau district reached 10,083.7 billion VND, equal to 98.6% of the annual plan, an increase of 8.32% compared to 2016. The rate of communes with standard cultural and sports institutions was 76.92%, an increase of 5.13% and an increase of 2 communes compared to 2016; 76.2% of hamlets achieved the title of Culture (349/458 hamlets), an increase of 38 hamlets; the rate of families meeting cultural standards was 85.5% (an increase of 1%). The district's Education and Training sector was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Education and Training; achieved the title of excellent advanced unit at the provincial level for 15 consecutive years. Focusing on directing the improvement of the quality of medical examination and treatment; the spirit and attitude of serving patients are increasingly improved. Average income reached 40 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate decreased to 2.6%. Implementing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Program on New Rural Construction, from the capital of the Central and the province, Dien Chau has built many essential works such as: rural roads, solidified canals, cultural houses, schools... Directing communes to focus on completing the targets of the new rural construction plan; the rural appearance has clearly changed, especially the socio-economic infrastructure. In 2017, 19 communes met 19/19 criteria recognized by the province, accounting for 50% of the total number of communes.

The results achieved in Party building work associated with socio-economic development tasks in 2017 are the basis and motivation for cadres and people of Dien Chau district to continue to innovate, strive to successfully complete socio-economic development, national defense and security goals in the area, and focus on leading and implementing well the goals set out in the Resolution of the 30th District Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term.

In 2018, the Dien Chau District Party Committee focused on directing the overcoming of shortcomings and limitations in 2017; continued to direct the implementation of the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 26 - NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province to 2020; promoted the implementation of programs, projects, and resolutions to implement the Resolution of the 30th District Party Congress; continued to implement the Resolutions of the 5th and 6th Central Committees, 12th tenure; strived to complete the socio-economic development goals, the tasks of Party building, building a strong political system, determined to achieve the highest level of the 5-year socio-economic plan targets (2015 - 2020).
