Dien Chau: Awarding 180 million VND in scholarships 'Overcoming difficulties to go to school with children'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Chau district coordinated with sponsors to award 40 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties at 8 schools in the district.

The district leaders were represented by Mr. Dang Quang Hong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, along with representatives of district-level departments and branches; Dien Chau District Education Promotion Association and the sponsoring unit, Phuc Hung Steel Production and Trading Company Limited.
On this occasion, the delegation awarded 40 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties in the district, each student receiving 500,000 VND/month for 9 months (school year 2022 - 2023). In the first phase, the scholarships will be awarded for 6 months, the remaining 3 months will be awarded at the end of the school year. The total amount of scholarships awarded for both phases is 180 million VND (of which the first phase is 120 million VND).
The scholarships will give students the confidence and motivation to continue going to school, to become useful citizens for their families and society.
