Tuong Duong Electricity verified the reflection at Nghe An Newspaper's live program.
Tuong Duong Electricity has coordinated with local authorities to verify the information reported by people.
On the evening of June 19, Nghe An Newspaper broadcast live the program "Solving the problem of electricity usage during peak season" with the participation of Mr. Pham Van Nga - Deputy Director of Nghe An Electricity Company. During the program, many viewers and readers asked questions and interacted directly via hotline and on Nghe An Newspaper's digital platforms.

Notably, a viewer called the hotline, reporting that some households in Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district are having to pay higher electricity bills than normal, even though most of the people in this area are in difficult circumstances. Mr. Pham Van Nga - Deputy Director of Nghe An Electricity Company has recorded the reflection and affirmed that he will soon direct the inspection and clarification of this issue.
On the morning of June 20, Tuong Duong Electricity coordinated with the Department of Economic Infrastructure - Tuong Duong District People's Committee, Yen Na Commune People's Committee and representatives of people in Ve village to work at the scene, verifying people's reflections. After verification and clarification, this issue was explained as follows.

In fact, some households in Ban Ve and Ban Co Phao (Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district) have been compensated for resettlement (according to Decision No. 690/QD-UB dated July 28, 2005 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on approving the plan to support site clearance for the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant project, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province, phase 1). However, some households have not relocated and are still living here.
Currently, Tuong Duong Electricity is temporarily supplying electricity to this area according to the request of Tuong Duong District People's Committee in Document No. 876/UBND-CT dated October 16, 2014 on temporarily supplying electricity to the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant construction site. Yen Na Commune People's Committee has assigned Mr. Trinh Van Quynh to manage electricity and collect money in this area.

21 households in Ve village and 60 households in Co Phao village are currently being supplied with electricity at the retail price of household electricity as stipulated in Decision No. 2941/QD-BCT dated November 8, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Through actual inspection at households, electricians are collecting money at a general price of 2,700 - 3,000 VND/kWh. This unit price includes actual electricity consumption on household meters, losses on power lines and management and operation costs for electricians, so it is higher than normal.
