Do Luong started construction of a commercial center combined with a market, with a total investment of over 330 billion VND.

The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to welcome representatives of Nghe An province and Do Luong district leaders along with more than 1,000 small traders.

In addition to the groundbreaking ceremony marking a major step forward in the project's development, the event also demonstrated the investor's social responsibility through the gift-giving activity for disadvantaged students with good academic achievements.

During the survey and documentation process, the project received support from departments, branches, the Provincial People's Committee and the Do Luong District People's Committee. After the evaluation process, the project was approved by the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee in principle for investment. Up to now, the project has been granted Construction License No. 116/GP-SXD by the State agency on December 3, 2019 and has completed the legal documents to start the project.

The project with a total investment of more than 330 billion is planned on 3.44 hectares, with a modern design that is an architectural highlight for Do Luong town; to replace the degraded Do Luong market, which no longer ensures fire safety and food safety for operation.

The Do Luong traditional market combined with the commercial center has a prime location right on Highway 7, playing the role of a "gateway" connecting strong trade with the western areas of Nghe An province and neighboring areas. The project is built spaciously, cleanly with synchronous infrastructure, including parking lots, open roads to the market, will replace the old market to meet the business needs of people and businesses, help facilitate buying and selling, contribute to the development of commercial services, rapid economic growth for Do Luong district.

The project is invested by the Hai An - Do Luong Market Investment, Construction, Management and Exploitation Cooperative (a member of the Vietnam Market Development and Management Cooperatives Union). This unit has experience in implementing commercial center projects combined with traditional markets such as in Hoang Mai Town, Tan Ky and dozens of projects across the country; contributing to expanding the scale and effectively exploiting the form of modern markets in Vietnam.

According to the investor representative, policies for small traders in the old market have also been built and completed, ensuring maximum benefits for people when moving to the new market to do business. In addition, the old market will also be planned for the purpose of local socio-economic development.

In the future, the Do Luong traditional market and shopping mall will gather a system of hundreds of brands and diverse product lines, activating the advantages of a synchronous and professional business complex. The project promises to not only become a trading hub in Nghe An but also become a tourist destination, a cultural discovery, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience./.
