Do Luong spreads new rural weekend
(Baonghean.vn) - The movement "New rural Saturday and Sunday" in Do Luong district took place enthusiastically, attracting the participation of many cadres and people. The countryside was cleaned, creating a civilized and beautiful landscape.
Every Saturday and Sunday, the loudspeakers in Hoa Son commune sound to announce that people should go out to plant flowers, ornamental plants and clean up the village. Instead of the thick grass along the road like before, Hoa Son commune is now filled with many colorful flowers and rows of green trees, creating a vibrant landscape for the country roads.
Mr. Thai Dinh Hai - Minh Tho hamlet, Hoa Son commune said: "Every Saturday and Sunday, when the hamlet loudspeaker is turned on, my wife or I go out to the street to clean, pull weeds and plant flowers along the roadside. It has become a habit, so whenever we see grass growing, we have to pull it out immediately. If we want the village to be beautiful, our houses must be clean and beautiful."
The goal of Saturday and Sunday is to raise people's awareness in implementing new rural construction. Therefore, all residential areas in the district maintain 100% of the program "New Rural Saturday and Sunday".
In addition, the Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district also regularly organizes the launch of "New Rural Saturday and Sunday" throughout the district with the support of officers and soldiers of Division 324. Recently, the Fatherland Front Committee of the district continued to mobilize nearly 1,000 people to participate with a large force including: officers and soldiers of Division 324; teachers at all levels, people, officers, union members, students, militia forces... belonging to 3 units of Town, Da Son, Luu Son; officers, soldiers, armed forces of the district.
Of which, 300 officers and soldiers of Division 324 coordinated the implementation. The soldiers, officers and people actively cut grass, cleaned, cleared the environment, cleared bushes, and planted more flowers on the 45m planned traffic route from the town to Da Son commune, Do Luong district. This is the great solidarity route of the district. After the launch, the long road with many thick grasses was cleared, replaced by beautiful flowers and ornamental plants.
Ms. Vuong Thi Quy - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district said: "After the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district developed guidelines for implementing "New Rural Saturday and Sunday", the communes have implemented and attracted tens of thousands of participants. In addition to mobilizing cadres, people, members, teachers, and students, we also strive to coordinate with the army forces stationed in the area, thereby strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, creating clear results in implementing the construction of new rural areas".
Up to now, the implementation of “New Rural Saturday and Sunday” has been maintained regularly. The whole district has mobilized people to support and contribute nearly 3 billion 750 million VND, donating 800 m2land, 1,520 m2fences to open rural roads, contributing nearly 20,000 working days, planting 16,340m of trees and flowers on both sides of the road to create a green - clean - beautiful landscape; developing garden economy, promoting local traditional crafts.
It can be said that the "New Rural Saturday and Sunday" campaign has truly spread and aroused the joint efforts of the political system, the solidarity between the army and the people in the area, contributing significantly to the implementation of the new rural criteria, contributing to building Do Luong district to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
