Provincial working delegation inspects Covid-19 prevention and control work in Que Phong district

Before working with the leaders of Que Phong district, the delegation inspected the locations used by the district as quarantine sites, including the old Que Son Secondary School and the old Muong Noc Commune People's Committee, Muong Noc Commune Health Station and Que Phong Ethnic Minority Secondary School.

Currently, Que Phong district has about 7,000 workers working away from home. During the recent epidemic, about 2,000 people returned to their hometowns, most of whom have completed centralized quarantine. In the quarantine area of ​​Tri Le commune alone, after returning to their hometowns, more than 70 people were infected, and at first the commune's Steering Committee was quite confused in handling the situation. In addition, people's awareness did not comply with the instructions of the quarantine team... so there was a phenomenon of cross-infection.

Up to now, the district has recorded 35 cases of Covid-19, and 159 citizens are being quarantined. The district is implementing social distancing according to Directive No. 15/CT-TTg dated March 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister.

According to the leaders of Que Phong district, the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the district still has some shortcomings and difficulties such as: Human resources for the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic are still lacking; the effectiveness of propaganda on disease prevention and fighting is not high; ensuring the lives and arranging jobs for people who work far away to return home is very difficult; facilities at concentrated quarantine points of communes and towns are lacking; the management and direction of local authorities at the commune level in many places are still passive and confused.

At the same time, people's awareness of complying with epidemic prevention and control measures is not high; handling of violators of epidemic prevention and control regulations is drastic but almost no fines are collected...

Que Phong district proposed that the province continue to pay attention, guide and support the district in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, research and mobilize staff of the Department of Health to increase support for the District Health Office in advising and directing the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic; research and arrange reasonable Covid-19 testing points, support the cost of isolation, rapid testing, PCR testing for disadvantaged people, poor households, near-poor households; support funding for repairing and renovating selected points as centralized isolation areas...

He requested the District Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to continue to enhance its role and responsibility, focus on directing and strengthening the activities of checkpoints to control the number of people entering and leaving the district and communes. Manage and control the activities of traditional markets in the district; arrange district-level officials to the grassroots level to guide, support and help communes and towns in epidemic prevention and control; speed up the arrangement and deployment of quarantine areas in the district and communes; develop scenarios in case there are many F0s and F1s in the area and focus on the management of subjects in quarantine areas. Que Phong needs to have propaganda methods suitable to the intellectual level, customs and practices of the people; strengthen inspection of establishments, urge local authorities, and promptly handle violations if they are detected.

In addition, Que Phong needs to focus on taking care of hunger relief for more than 2,000 households in the area, implementing a plan to organize the new school year 2021-2022 in accordance with the situation and direction of the Education sector... Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the district, the Inspection Team will synthesize and report to the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control for research, consideration and resolution./.
