Central working delegation inspects child health care in Nghe An

On the morning of October 1, a central interdisciplinary delegation visited and presented gifts to newborn babies at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital; and inspected the implementation of policies and laws on child health care in Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district.

The interdisciplinary delegation was led by Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health. The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; the Ministry of Education and Training; the Ministry of Public Security and a number of units under the Ministry of Health.

Joining the working delegation were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health, leaders of Nam Dan district, leaders of medical units in the province.

At Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the interdisciplinary delegation visited and presented 100 gifts to pregnant women, postpartum women, newborns, and premature babies being treated and cared for here. The Deputy Minister of Health and leaders of Nghe An province kindly visited and encouraged the families of newborns, premature babies, and pregnant women and postpartum women to do their best in treating, caring for, and raising their children.

Previously, the delegation visited and inspected the implementation of policies and laws on child health care in Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district. The inspection contents included: The implementation of the Prime Minister's Decisions on the prevention of malnutritionnutritionmothers, children, the program "Intervention to reduce mortality of children under 5 years old by 2030"; the development and promulgation of local documents and policies on child health care and implementation results...

Along with that, the delegation inspected the implementation of maternal and child health care; medical examination and treatment for children at medical facilities; care and rehabilitation of disabled and handicapped children; health insurance for children under 6 years old; and the implementation of the program to prevent and combat accidents and injuries for children.children, expanded immunization program for children...

The delegation highly appreciated the results achieved in child care work in Nam Thanh commune in recent times. At the same time, the delegation also requested the Party Committee, the government of Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district and the health sector to continue to pay attention to implementing nutrition programs for children.

The working group also received recommendations and proposals related to child health care from the Party Committee, the government of Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district and the health sector to forward to competent authorities for resolution.
