Delegation of National Assembly of Nghe An participates in the questioning session of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 20, at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a question-and-answer session at the 21st session on groups of issues in the fields of courts and prosecution. Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly chaired the question and answer session. The question and answer session was connected online with 62 National Assembly delegations from provinces and cities (Hanoi National Assembly delegation attended directly).
At Nghe An bridge, comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired.
Attending the question and answer session were comrades: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; National Assembly deputies residing in the province, along with leaders of the Provincial People's Council committees, a number of departments and branches.

The content of the questioning group of issues in the court field will focus on 4 contents:
Solutions to continue improving the quality of trials and resolution of all types of cases, especially administrative cases, criminal cases on economics and corruption; and the resolution of petitions for review and retrial.
Personnel work of the Court sector; solutions to improve the capacity, qualifications, courage and responsibility of Judges and civil servants of the Court sector; prevention and handling of corruption and negativity within the Court sector.
Summarizing trial practices, guiding the unified application of law, and developing case law.
Implementation of Resolution No. 33/2021/QH15 of the National Assembly on organizing online trials, especially preparing conditions to ensure online trials.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh was responsible for answering questions. The Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Ministers of Public Security, Justice, and the Government Inspector General also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
In the field of prosecution, the group of questions includes solutions to continue improving the quality of practicing the right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities in resolving criminal cases, especially economic and corruption cases; not allowing criminals to escape, wrongly convicting innocent people; enhancing the quality of prosecutors' arguments in court. Solutions to continue improving the quality of supervision of the resolution of administrative cases and civil cases; supervision of the execution of criminal, civil and administrative sentences; and the resolution of petitions for review and retrial.

Personnel work of the Procuracy; solutions to improve the capacity, qualifications, courage and responsibility of prosecutors and civil servants of the Procuracy; prevention and handling of corruption and negativity within the Procuracy. Solutions to continue improving the operational efficiency of the Supreme People's Procuracy's investigation agency, especially increasing the rate of crime detection; strengthening the review to promptly resolve denunciations and reports of crimes within its authority.
The main responsibility for answering lies with the member of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy Le Minh Tri. The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; the Ministers of Public Security, Justice; and the Government Inspector General also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.

Speaking at the opening of the question-and-answer session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that, implementing the provisions of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, the supervision program of the National Assembly Standing Committee, on the basis of synthesizing opinions of National Assembly delegations and National Assembly deputies, based on the practical situation and statistics of questioning activities in the past time, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to organize questioning and answering questions for groups of issues in the two fields of courts and prosecution.
The questioning period lasted for one day, the content of the questioning in both areas was wide-ranging. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue suggested that the National Assembly deputies ask short questions, go straight to the point, and not go into specific details of cases; debate frankly, responsibly, and constructively to contribute to clarifying the current situation and propose appropriate, effective, and feasible solutions for each questioning.

The National Assembly Chairman stated that this question-and-answer session is an opportunity for sector heads to provide the public and voters with official information and the results of their sector’s work. At the end of the question-and-answer session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will issue a Resolution to serve as a basis for implementation and supervision.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized: Through today's question-and-answer session, the position and role of the judiciary will continue to be affirmed; to better meet the requirements of the new period, especially striving to basically complete the goal of building a professional, modern, fair, strict, and honest judiciary by 2030, serving the Fatherland, serving the people, protecting justice, protecting human rights, civil rights, protecting the socialist regime, protecting the interests of the State, and the legitimate and legal rights and interests of organizations and individuals.
