(Baonghean.vn) - At the ceremony, the delegation expressed their respect and gratitude for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, the beloved children of the homeland who heroically sacrificed for the Fatherland and for the happiness of the people.

On the morning of July 16, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, during the program of awarding the Certificate of National Merit in 2022 in Nghe An province, the delegation of martyrs' relatives from many provinces and cities came to pay respects, offer flowers, and burn incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Vinh city cemetery.

Attending the delegation were: Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San - Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Nguyen Ba Hoan - Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Ho Thi Chau Loan - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee and representatives of martyrs' relatives from many provinces and cities across the country.

Your names have become immortal, engraved in the history of the nation. The Party, the State, the army and the people will forever remember and be eternally grateful for that great sacrifice.

Vinh City Cemetery is the resting place of martyrs in the wars against French colonialism, American imperialism, border wars and Vietnamese volunteer soldiers helping Laos and Cambodia. The cemetery currently has nearly 1,000 graves, the resting place of many revolutionary predecessors.
