Youth Union rescues tons of vegetables for people in Dien Chau district
(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the situation of unsold green vegetables, Nghe An youth union members joined hands to rescue green vegetables for people, minimizing damage.
These days, in the vegetable areas of the districtDien ChauIn Dien Phong, Dien Thanh, Dien Ky... the situation of bumper crops, low prices, and unsold vegetables is very common. Many households have abandoned their vegetable fields because there are no buyers for their harvests.

Grasping the information, on March 3-4, Dien Chau District Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Youth Development Support CenterNghe An, Dien Phong commune delegation helped and supported the rescue of 5 tons of cabbage for farmers in Dien Phong commune, Dien Chau district.
From early morning, dozens of youth union members in green volunteer shirts went to vegetable fields in Dien Phong commune to help people harvest and transport vegetables.

It is known that the price of rescued cabbage is 1,000 VND/head. Previously, cabbage in Dien Phong was in a serious slump, the price was only 500 - 700 VND/head but there were still no buyers, forcing them to be uprooted indiscriminately.
The rescued vegetables will be sold at the booth of the Nghe An Province Youth Development Support Center.
Although 5 tons of vegetables have been rescued, this is only a very small amount of vegetables because the total amount of vegetables that are unsold in Dien Phong commune is estimated to be up to 800 tons. Currently, Dien Chau District Youth Union is still calling and contacting mass organizations to continue rescuing vegetables for people, minimizing damage to people.
