Xieng Khouang province youth delegation offered incense at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 5, the Youth Delegation of Xieng Khouang province, Lao PDR visited, laid wreaths, and offered incense at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery, Anh Son district.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Xieng Khouang province, there was comrade Buanuen Houmsayyavong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Youth Union of Xieng Khouang province as head of the delegation. On the side of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, there was comrade Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and representatives of Anh Son District Youth Union.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation held a ceremony to report achievements and offer incense to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh at the memorial house and performed the bell ringing, silent meditation, and wreath laying ceremony at the Cemetery Memorial.
Next, the delegation burned incense at the graves to express their infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs, the outstanding sons of 47 provinces and cities across the country who devoted their youth to the independence and freedom of the nation, to the noble international mission, and brought the revolutionary cause of the two countries to victory.

The Vietnam-Laos Martyrs Cemetery was built in 1976 and is the largest cemetery that collects the graves of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and died in Laos. This is also the only cemetery in Vietnam named after two countries and two peoples.
