Nghe An enterprises and forestry farms update and dialogue on the 2024 Land Law
On the morning of December 25, in Vinh City, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment organized a dissemination of new regulations of the 2024 Land Law to businesses.
Representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment chaired the training conference. Also attending were representatives of provincial business associations and entrepreneurs; representatives of the VCCI branch in Nghe An and over 60 enterprises, agricultural and forestry companies in the province.

In his opening speech, a representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that although the 2024 Land Law has been in effect for more than 4 months, the Department must organize training and update specialized regulations related to land use extension because this is a content that has caused many difficulties for businesses and forestry farms in recent times.

According to the 2024 Land Law, if an enterprise is allocated and leased land by the State but the lease term expires or is allocated but the enterprise does not complete the procedures to extend the land use period, the State will reclaim it and re-allocate it from the beginning. Regardless of whether there is a decision to lease or allocate land or not, agricultural and forestry companies must pay land rent... With the above major changes, if enterprises and forestry companies do not grasp and complete the procedures to extend the land use period, their rights will be affected.

In addition, one of the notable new points of the 2024 Land Law is that if after being allocated or leased land by the State, enterprises and organizations do not put it into use, the State will reclaim it without compensation or support. Enterprises and investors must dismantle unfinished assets and construction works themselves, otherwise the State will organize compulsory demolition and the enterprise must pay the demolition costs...

In addition to the above content, enterprises are also informed and explained about new regulations on the basis of land allocation and land lease according to the 2024 Land Law; responsibilities of investors after being allocated land or leased land by the State; procedures and legal documents for land lease and extension of land use period...

Based on the provisions of the Land Law that have been disseminated, representatives of a number of enterprises and forestry farms also raised a number of difficulties and problems arising from practical implementation, hoping that the departments of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment would share, answer and guide enterprises in converting and preparing land lease documents...

Receiving and listening to the contents proposed by enterprises and forestry farms, the representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has answered and responded to a number of issues within its authority; at the same time, it also said that other contents related to the authority of ministries and the Government will be synthesized and reported to the Provincial People's Committee to have a document asking for opinions from ministries and branches on how to handle and resolve them.
